In for 2023: My List

Monday, January 2, 2023

Have you seen those "in for 2023/out for 2023" lists going around? I feel like they're everywhere, and for me, they're the best kind of meme — the kind that aren't empty and fleeting but genuinely born of thoughtfulness and the desire for growth.

I haven't made an "out" list because the only thing that's really out for me is shaming myself for any of the things I do or like, even if I maybe shouldn't do or like them. I'm all about adopting better habits without being mean to myself for retaining some of the bad ones.

What's in for you in 2023? Here's my list.
  • The return of blogging
  • NutriBullet smoothies
  • Reading for fun, not for numbers
  • Actually making doctors appointments
  • Reaching out to loved ones just because
  • Paper planners and Google Calendar
  • Weekly family meetings
  • Less food waste
  • Thick thighs and soft stomachs
  • Flannel sheets
  • Buy Nothing Group finds
  • The perpetual pursuit of genuine allyship
  • Book clubs where you don’t all read the same book
  • More live events
  • Mocktails
  • Cooking and carryout over delivery
  • Ignoring Elon’s and Kanye’s existence
  • YA fantasy content
  • True crime that doesn’t exploit victims or survivors
What's on yours? I'd love to hear it!

  1. Oh this is so lovely! What's mostly in for me is really working on improving my mental health. 2022 was filled with relentless anxiety and I really want 2023 to be filled with more peace and hope.

Leave me some love.
