The beautiful inspiring, & compelling promotional video for #GivingTuesdayCLE dropped on Wednesday - & you may recognize a familiar face in there!
I'm honored to have been asked to take part in this effort to share the #GivingTuesdayCLE movement, which amplifies the voices of local nonprofits & encourage Clevelanders to donate their time, money, advocacy, & passion for organizations that are making a difference.

A few weeks ago, I got an email from Pam of WISH Cleveland, inviting me to take part in the filming of this video. I've been doing some freelancing for WISH Cleveland (check out my stories here), so I was one of the local bloggers Pam thought of for the video. I repeat: What an honor!
I headed to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral during my designated time slot, where I was greeted by Pam & blogger Nic of A Random's Life, along with a few others. I grabbed a snack, got a quick tour of the sanctuary, chatted with some other folks who were there for the video, & settled in with the agency guys to film my lines for the video.
Everyone was so nice & gracious, & recording was a lot of fun, nervous though I was. I'm in awe of the way the video turned out - like, it gave me goosebumps, & not just because I'm in it!
It was such a cool thing to be a part of, & now that the video itself is live, it's an invitation for the rest of the community to be a part of it, too - to be part of a movement for good, supporting & uplifting those in our city who are trying to make Cleveland a better, stronger, healthier, kinder place.

On that site, you can learn about the local nonprofits fundraising through #GivingTuesdayCLE - & of course, you can donate to them, as well. You can also buy a "Do Good" hat & choose a nonprofit to receive the proceeds.
One more thing: If you're so inclined, join The Good Hat Bash, taking place on Dec. 3rd (that's Giving Tuesday!) at the Beachland Ballroom. Adult tickets are $30 & include heavy apps & a cash bar - plus lots of great networking, celebrating, & bettering of our city. See you there?
