is that really your handwriting?! I want it. Can you make me a font? I donated blood in high school to get out of class but when I finally made it to physics I almost passed out during our lab. I got to sleep it off in the nurse's office.
You have the neatest handwriting ever. For #5, sparkpeople.com if you haven't yet. It's free and I lost 30 lbs on it. I'm back on it with the same situation.
1) Count me in for a segment of a road trip or some other cool, long weekend type thing (esp if you're starting in NE!) 2) Don't start down this path to crippling caffeine addiction. 3) Ok 4) Knitting is easier. 5) I lost 60 lbs that one time. I have tips. Many relate to item #10. And being a gym rat. 6) Don't ever donate "Double Red." Trust me. 7) Cool 8) No longer a statistic! 9) Meh, overrated. Buy a Jetski! 10) You know who to bug for recipes!
Just remember to give blood BEFORE redoing your tattoos. I think there is a 12-month waiting period under blood donation regulations. *the more you know*
Knitting is not as hard as you think! I can at least knit and purl to make a very generic looking scarf. Look for tutorials online. I haven't been to NOLA since I was a kid. I'd love to go back! :)
I like your list. Except the donating blood part and that's only cause I am bad at it. Like really bad it. So excited to see/hear what 2011 holds for you :)
go to NOLA! seriously. go. and.. i need to quit coffee, but can't. I've tried knitting and failed miserably. However, I do play guitar so there's a win.
I've been meaning to give blood for such a long time now. Whenever my mom sees a Bloodmobile, she's always like "The time is now!" And I'm always like, "Mayyyybe next time? Next time! I promise. The next time we see a Bloodmobile, I will donate." I really need to just bite the bullet & do it.
I think those are doable, and number 10 is on my list too. Chili and turkey tacos will be all my kids will remember of me long after I'm gone. I need to add a few more things. Number 2 I taught myself to do a few years back. Iced with sugar and lots of milk eased me into it. I hope your 2011 knocks all this stuff off your list. Go baby go.
Okay, first off, you SLAY me. Mainly # 5, because it's me. I'm all FOR REALS this time. Those last six years were test runs.
Second -- wait, where was I when you were probably VERY obvious about how you don't like coffee?!!?!? But, that being said, from this coffee addict to you -- don't do it. Once addicted, there's. just. no. looking. back.
(Seriously, my mornings are planned around.. can I bring my Thermos of coffee, will it stay warm?)
I love finding lists that could possibly be my own. It makes me feel like me a little more normal. A little more like I belooooong. ;) Anyways, I love me some coffee. Everything in moderation. Except chocolate which you should have all the time. At least, that's what I always say.
I love that you wrote your list by hand for us! It reminds me of your Christmas card (that I got on Wednesday night as soon as I got home from BC!) - it was so sweet! Thank you!!
Tip for #4: order a nonfat extra hot black & white mocha (also known as a "tuxedo" "penguin" "michael jackson"). I HATE coffee, but love a good b&w mocha. It's like hot chocolate, with a little something extra.
Awesome list, Katie. Coffee has my heart. Truly, I've never met one I didn't like. Ohh restarting the saving account, thats a good one, I need to do that as well.
totally with you on number 5... that was on my list last year and, surprise, its on my list again this year! haha

ReplyDeleteI CAN'T donate blood... because I lived in England during the whole mad cow thing once, my blood is banned from Canada for a lifetime :(
Great list, Kate! I have many similar goals. :)

ReplyDeleteThey're good resolutions!!! Although I do recommend learning how to knit over learning the guitar....sooooo much easier and v. soothing!
ReplyDeleteVery good list! I'm with you on #s 1,5,8,9 and 10! I love your blog! Thanks for visiting mine!
ReplyDeleteI responded to your question on my site!
great list! i would just suggest getting rid of #2. trust me, coffee only leads to caffiene addiction and headaches! haha!
ReplyDeleteAhaha, this list is great. I love that even your goal list has a tone of uncertainty to it--the way it should be!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! I have lots of similar goals. P.S. Your handwriting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you want to get your masters in? Donating blood is a great thing, especially if you are physically able to do so.
ReplyDeleteOkay, first off, you SLAY me. Mainly # 5, because it's me. I'm all FOR REALS this time. Those last six years were test runs.

ReplyDeleteBesides the fact that you don't like coffee...I love this list!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, if I were you - I'd take a trip to NOLA with friends. Chicago is awesome, but NOLA w/ friends??? Best trip ever.
NOLA! NOLA! NOLA!

ReplyDeleteCoffee is like beer...Drink it enough and you'll learn to love it!
ReplyDeleteChicago! Because I'm here :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for knitting! I just learned and I love it.
Ohhh knitting!!! I want to do that too, if I could sit still and like calm down for 30 minutes a day!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year love. I'm 6 days late BUT HEY who's counting?
You're amazing.
I love that you wrote your list by hand for us! It reminds me of your Christmas card (that I got on Wednesday night as soon as I got home from BC!) - it was so sweet! Thank you!!
